Statement

Slavery in all its forms is unconscionable but most abhorrent is the stealing and selling of women and children into the sex slave trade. This is another manifestation of the Patriarchal (dominator) Paradigm gone berserk. A sense of the sacredness of Nature, our Mother Earth, has been destroyed. The natural instinctive desire to nurture and protect all of her creatures, especially those younger and weaker, has been diminished and disrespected. These three works from The Black Plague series depict memorials and monuments to the innocence and trust of childhood.
