We have planned an interesting and unique bus tour for Saturday afternoon. The participants will be picked up at Agnes Scott around 12:45. A box lunch will be served on the bus. En route we will tour the Living Walls Murals - a 2012 international juried exhibition of graffiti murals created by women artists and on view in public places scattered around Atlanta.
Next the tour will head to the Castleberry Hill Arts District where we will visit the Marcia Wood Gallery and the Besherat Gallery as well as a couple of other contemporary art venues within walking distance..
The tour will end with a visit to the Clark Atlanta University Art Galleries. Here the group will have a tour of this fine collection given by Gallery Director and this year’s recipient of the WCA Lifetime Achievement Award, Tina Dunkley. This is a rare and unique opportunity to view a historic collection of African American art featuring the Hale Woodruff murals
Please note: we regret that our bus is not handicap accessible. It does not have a wheelchair lift.
