Statement Human trafficking is happening every day right before our eyes without us even being aware of it. My intent with this work is to raise awareness of vulnerable individuals who have become victims in this evil capitalistic scandal and to move them toward action against it. Atlanta has the highest rate of sex trafficking of any city, due in part to the large trade and convention industries we host. Painting is a way for me to experience "doing something about it" and moving towards a solution. |
