Statement

Statement: These images are from Virginia Carr's series called, Colorscapes. She alters the landscapes using the seven hues of The Chakra System. The energy we receive from the natural world soothes our emotions and keeps us grounded.

Using traditional photographic processes, her work explores themes of family, memory, place and home. Her work has been exhibited at Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Atlanta Photography Group, The Center for Civil and Human Rights: Civil Rights Museum Atlanta, Garcia/Wilburn Gallery, The Praxis Gallery, Whitespace Gallery, SCAD Open Studio, SCAD-Savannah, and In-the-In-Between.com.
